Timaya, the well-known Nigerian singer and songwriter, whose actual name or you’ll be able to say the delivery name is Enetimi Alfred Odon, he was born on 29 November 1977. He could be the last child within the large family that covers fifteen children.
Timaya is also widely known because Dem Mama Gift or Egberipapa1. Dem Mama is his entrance album, True Story released thee subsequent year. His second album Gift and Grace was published in 2008.
The Greatest number of the listeners know him as a creative music artist but in spite of that he is also an award winning songwriter and music producer. He has been writing his own song and other artists songs as well, which are no doubt considerably loved. Some of the artist who has gained success from his writing and music production are E. Jordan and YouTube Jarrett Holt.
He gives tough competition to other artists of his time, it’s mainly because of his versatile music skills. He has this great ability to perform different genres with such ease. He is quite good at performing Hip Hop, Raga, Dancehall and Afro Hip Hop.

In 2012, Upgrade was released which has produced a number hits such as “Bum Bum”, ‘Sexy Ladies’, and ‘Malonogede’. Timaya collaborated with Sean Paul and Machel Montano on his hit “Bum Bum” in 2013. His current song “Sanko“, released in 2015, is making waves all over the afropop charts.
Now, he has earned four Headiest Award and one Nigeria Music Award and there is no turning back.
